I really liked this book. As my husband and I age, we have been trying to find ways to add more vegetables to our diet. Our vegetarian son moved in with us, which made a great opportunity to try new things. The author does a great job of validating every choice. Her recipes are a smart way to get started. We appreciate the opportunity to work on some new recipes and open our minds to nutritional information to live a healthier life.

I loved this book! Being a sort-of vegetarian for the past 3 or 4 years, this book gave me the push I needed to go all the way without cramming vegetarianism down my throat. It was done in a fun format, and was nicely written, so I learned about nutrition and vegetarianism in a fun and engaging way. I also liked that she respected the fact that vegetarianism is a choice, not a restriction, so it's OK to eat meat sometimes, she wasn't diehard vegetarian. There were also helpful tips about finding places with vegetarian food (including colleges), and how to specify when ordering to get a dish that meets your needs. There were also some really yummy looking recipes, too (vegetarian tacos, asian crunchy salad, roasted chickpeas, kale chips, etc.). She also gave tips about how to pack on-the-go food when you're in college, or don't have time to eat, and give lists on what foods/snacks/candies are vegan and vegetarian. The whole thing was very informative. I would really recommend this book, even if you're just curious about vegetarianism, want fun recipes, or are thinking of going vegan/lacto-ovo/no red meat. This was really good!
