It thought this was great! An excellent social commentary on relationships. I really enjoyed the suspense and the mystery. I liked how you see different puzzle pieces and they slowly start to connect. Actors were fantastic.

The book was better. A scene that was deleted from the movie was a bit important. The scene was written in the book and should have been in the movie, to enhance the psychosis of one of the characters. I really did not enjoy the movies as much as I did the book. I give 3 stars.

This movie came out around all the hype of female actors not getting paid as much as men.

After watching it, applying simple economics of supply and demand, I can understand why there is that pay differential.

This is the slowest moving drizzle every to be given the moniker of "murder mystery". There are about 15 minutes (and I am being generous) of actual entertainment value, the rest of the movie you can ignore and watch something more entertaining.
Like Barney.
Or the little sparkles that float around in the air when caught by a sunbeam.
A slug as it moves across your driveway has more action.

I would give it a 1 star, but that would only serve in having people think it was worth such a lofty level.

The premise is pretty terrible, but I liked the plot twist and how psychopathy works on gullible people like the main character. Still, much of this movie is pretty bleak especially the first-half. It's only the last 30 minutes that count. To be honest, I felt like I could skip to that part and I'd have enjoyed the movie a lot more.

This was barely watchable at best. Endless segments of literally nothing, then a little action. Not recommended unless there is nothing else to do.

So much hype..... Emily B is good in this role, the men fairly disgusting & why, why, why, so much sex. Leave something to one's imagination instead of the prurient sex scenes. Sure glad I didn't pay to see this.

This could be an excellent movie. I give it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 due to the way it changes the time line back and forth too many times.

If you didn't read the book first, the movie would be very confusing. The
book was very good, and it was easy to follow the time lines; however, the movie didn't give sufficient explanation as it jumped around. Plus the book was set in London and the movie was set in New York. Hard to imagine that Paula Hawkins would have given the movie a thumbs up.

Total crap

A thick mix of betrayal and obsession, and not in good way.
The writers overdosed on heavy-duty sad pills. But of course domestic abuse is not a jolly topic. Still, everything was oh so dreary.
Good acting from Emily Blunt, interesting mystery, and intricate plot maneuvers saved the film from being a complete downer.
