I have read many of his books. By far this is the worst. None of the characters were interesting; it was as if a first time author was writing a book; I would not suggest this to anyone. All of the characters were unlikable in one way or another.

I really enjoyed this book. This is a bit different from most Patterson books, but it certainly was an enjoyable read. I couldn't get enough of Ruby and her naivete and the experienced and force to reckon with Suzanne. I would gladly read more stories with these two characters.

This book had a feel of 2 books rather than 1 but with a few same characters...Ruby is fresh out of law school and winds up with two high profile cases....both cases have issues with juror
# 3.....uncomplicated, easy quick read and fun but not exactly deep

Ruby Bozarth was a new lawyer in Mississippi, she is immediately assigned by the judge in a racially charged murder case. A woman of Rosedale's upper crust family was murdered and the black waiter was being charged. He had been seeing her and she had texted him to meet her, but she was dead when he got there. Ruby finds help from Suzanne Greene, a lawyer related to her ex boyfriend. Also the owner of a diner. After sectioning the jury, Ruby was worried about juror number 3. And there was reason, he was the one that killed the victim. The next case was about her ex accused of killing a black call girl. He did not remember anything. Result, his friend from college had set him up because of an incident in college where his friend was kicked out because he brought a black girl to a dance. It was the same girl as the one murdered. Ruby and Suzanne became partners and she started seeing the owner of the diner.

I wasn't sure I was even going to finish this book 30 pages in. But i stuck with it and the story was certainly entertaining. Middle of the road stuff though for a Patterson book. This may be his first go co-authoring with Karen Allen. If so, they'll get it together. Lots of potential there. Two separate murder stories with little to connect them in one book didn't play out as well as it could.

I normally like James Patterson's novels but this one was weak--in plot, in character development, in everything. It wasn't worth my time.

Very enjoyable - easy to keep on reading.

James Paterson's 'Juror # 3' is a legal thriller which does not disappoint. It is an easy read which tells the story of two of Ruby Bozarth's murder cases. Ruby is a fresh lawyer in the Mississippi Bar and feels she may be in over her heels; but some timely help from Suzanne Greene, her erstwhile boyfriend Les Greene's aunt, she comes out with flying colors. May not happen in true life but you can bask in the good will feeling that this book leaves you with.

Pleasantly surprised! Have found most of James Paterson's books a little stale lately - this is fresh and new - I enjoyed the 2 stories and look forward to more from this character.
