A real handsome cast when all except Hackman were in their 20's or early 30's: Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe and a 20 year old Leonardo DiCaprio. Enjoyable western that a diverse group of gunslingers corralled in a frontier town named Redemption to compete in a dueling competition for a gigantic pot of money and "more" which provided the film's element of suspense. A shoot 'em up and blow 'em up fun watch with plenty of interesting old time cliché.

I am hardly a fan of western films, but I absolutely LOVED this movie. The acting was incredible, it was full of twists and turns, and it was touching as well.

Many quotes in IMDb as these:

Scars: I need a woman.
Ellen: You need a bath.
Scars: You're purty.
Ellen: You're not.
Kid: I'm so damned fast I can wake up at the crack of dawn, rob two banks, a train and a stage coach, shoot the tail feathers off a duck's ass at 300 feet, and still be back in bed before you wake up next to me.
Cort: Last night, The Kid. Tonight, Herod. You're a busy woman. Any man in this town you're not interested in?
Ellen: Yeah. You.
Cantrell: Sergeant Cantrell.
Shemp: How do you spell that?
Cantrell: Correctly.
John Herod: I was married to a beautiful woman. She was unfaithful.
Ellen: Where is she now?
John Herod: I told you, she was unfaithful.
