This story focuses on Gilbert Baker, who designed the rainbow flag that was flown in San Francisco. He wanted it to be the new, less negative symbol for the LGBT+ community. The art portrayal of creating the Rainbow Flag is beautiful. This is a picture book that is family friendly. It does not go too deep into the darker events of Baker's life, including his time in the draft.

A sweet book about being yourself and why Gilbert Baker created the Rainbow Flag. The Reader Note at the end of the book goes in to more detail about the history behind the need for the flag.
