The plot revolves around art forgeries, the Romanovs and Faberge eggs. These intrigued me and I'll likely follow up with some non-fiction on these topics. The author's style, however, I found disconcerting as each change of scene or character started a new chapter, some chapters being only a page long, a few paragraphs. For me it didn't flow well with such abrupt changes. The romance seemed to come out of nowhere but maybe I skipped page/chapter somewhere along the way. But the mystery kept me guessing until the end. I probably won't read this author again.
