Brian Rombough died in a sour gas plant explosion near Enchant in 2000 but his name will live after the plant owner had his wallet lightened by $100,000. Northstar Energy Corp. was fined $5,000 Friday after pleading guilty to an Occupational Health and Safety act charge of failing to ensure health and safety. It was also ordered to establish a $95,000 research fund in memory of the Taber man, killed as he attempted to clean gas processing equipment at the Enchant sour gas plant Oct. 2, 2000.
