I love that this book has so many young characters (the main character is 20) who deal with common problems young people face. I enjoyed the relationship between Lauren and her elderly mentor the most, but Mercy's journal as also interesting. I definitely learned a few things about the Salem witch trials. I think this book is considered christian literature, but its not preachy.
I enjoyed the alternating viewpoints and the historical info about the Salem Witch Trial.
An interesting read, with the interspersing of the diary and the main woman character. Lots of thinking and twists to the plot. Very well written and compelling.
This is a book that is hard to put down, the plot is well developed and the characters keep your interest. Nothing like a little surprise and intrigue to make you eager for each new page.
I read this book in one day!
It was so good.
The books portrayal of mercy was so touching. And here's a quote to think about: "You want to apologize so you can feel better about the way you think." HOw many times do I do that? Rather than apologize because I am truly sorry, it easily becomes more like a way to defend my opinions.
I loved this story
