If you want REAL vampire romance, check out Let The Right One In instead; its five movies shorter and far more rewarding.

I'm giving this three stars, which is a little more than it deserves. I'm not really into the Twilight series, I thought that maybe watching the movie would entice me into trying to read the book again. The movie was good, but not great. I'm not a fan of vampire movies and I felt that "The Lost Boys" is a much better movie. However this is a lot less violent and only has a small climatic scene. I wish there had been a little more romance but there were some very sweet scenes between Bella and Edward. I really liked Kristin Stewart's performance as well as Robert Pattison's. I found his character of Edward a little creepy (Well, he is a vampire after all!), but the romance was pretty believable. I may give the book another try, but I think the movie was enough introduction to the Twilight series.

I liked these books. I like vampires and I like the idea of falling in love with a fated mate. What really sells this story - is the description of the Cullens. They are who are interesting. Bella's a witty, more complex character in this book - than we get to see in the movie. And Edward is more alive, funnier. You see why they get together and I don't think anyone imagined a bunch of glittering vampires when they read this book, she made it clear that it was an alien type appearance. What you're staring at is someone frozen in time - with a diamond-like appearance as in tough. I don't know how this translated to the movie as sparkly vampires. But there are so many great scenes in this book that were completely changed in the movie. The moment when Edward reveals he's a vampire - happens in a completely different location, that is much more humanizing. I just really like the book more. This movie adaptation is one you sit down and make fun of. There is just so much staring.

I know I'm not the right audience for this, but this is a pop culture phenomenon I've avoided for too long. And part of it was filmed in Oregon. It was one of the more unintentionally hilarious movies I've seen, and I'm surprised it hasn't become a Rocky Horror-like cult film. R. Pat and K. Stew have both pursued far more interesting careers than this series suggested. The Oregon scenery (the Gorge is featured prominently) is nice.

Twilight was all together a good yet a weird movie. It all starts when Bella moves to Arizona to Forks, Washington. She gets enrolled in school where she meets a boy named Edward Cullen, they talk and meet and eventually just like every romantic movie, they fall in love. The one thing that Bella does not know is that Edward but somehow finds out he is and when she confronts him about it, she says to his face you’re a vampire, but in reality no real person would tell a person that they’re a vampire and not be like maybe you have a disease or something. I rate this movie 3.5 out of 5. @BirdieBooks of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

A vampire movie that has the plot center around a vampire falling in love with a human. I absolutely hated watching this movie when I was younger and forced to watch it with a family member. The plot stretched on and the atmosphere or tone was just gloomy and boring. The acting was fine and I regard Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as good actors but the movie was cheesy and boring to watch. I rate this movie 1/5 and don't really recommend this but you may enjoy this if you are into cheesy love movies. @selfhelpguru of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Kristen Stewart plays, Bella Swan, a teenager who moves from Arizona to Washington state to live with her dad. As she transfers high schools, she doesn’t expect much, until her attention is caught by a mysterious student, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Later in the film Bella discovers that Edward is a vampire and she finds herself falling deeply in love with this immoral creature. I did enjoy this movie although it was very cheesy and basic. I liked watching the complicated relationship between them and their chemistry was good. The acting wasn’t that great but still I liked it till the end. I would recommend watching it with your family as it is a cute movie. 3/5 stars @EffyStonem of the teen review board at the Hamilton Public Library.

Twilight is a romantic fantasy film starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. It is 2 hours, 2 min and was released in 2008 (Canada). Based off of Stephanie Meyer book, Twilight is about high schooler Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Jacob Black). After moving to Forks, Washington to live with her dad, she meets handsome and mysterious Edward along with his adopted siblings. Upon witnessing several odd behavioural changes in Edward, Bella comes to the conclusion that he and his family are Vampires. For the most part, Twilight (the movie) is very much like the book, only having minimal changes. Going by the old saying, “The book is always better than the movie” I have to give Twilight 3 stars. At times I didn’t like the acting and thought the romance was somewhat cheesy, compared to the book. Bella also had such an annoying personality. In the book she had a down-to-earth personality, but in the movie she was weak and always needed to be the damsel in distress. I did love the rest of the cast, including Alice (Ashley Greene) and Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathborne). They were a breath of fresh air, compared to Bella and her “whiney” ways. Although it has it ups and downs, this is a great movie to watch with friends over and over again!

They changed only a couple things in the first movie, which is nice, but they change more things as the movies progressed. The casting was very well done, especially for Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner. All of the Cullens are done well also. I recommend reading the books first though, because they are, as always, MUCH better. ;)

"please just tell me one theory". His eyes still smoldered at me. "um, well, bitten by a radioactive spider?"was he a hypnotist, too? Or was i just a hopeless pushover? " that's not very creative," he scoffed.
I'm sorry, thats all i've got,"I said ,miffed" You're not even close," he teased.
"No spiders?"
"And no radioactivity?"
" Dang." sighed
" Krpytonite doesn't bother me either," he chuckled
" You're not supposed to laugh remember?"
He struggled to compose his face.
