"No one working in the crime genre is better."
--Baltimore Sun

L.A.P.D. Homicide Detective Peter Decker and his wife Rina Lazarus are back on a case in Hangman--an electrifying new novel of suspense from Faye Kellerman, New York Times bestselling author of Blindman's Bluff, The Mercedes Coffin, The Burnt House, and many other masterful thrillers. A stunning tale of crime and detection featuring the brutal death of a "party girl" health care worker, a mysterious disappearance, and the chilling return of an all-too-familiar sociopath, Hangman is Kellerman's 21st bestseller to feature Decker and Lazarus, "Hands down, the most refreshing mystery couple around." I always like Faye Kellerman books. I especially enjoyed this one. Couldn't put it down, it even had me in tears near the end at a special dinner. I love how she writes, her characters are so real I feel as if I have been there as they grew up. IMO she is the best of the Kellerman authors!

This is the best Faye Kellerman book so far - well written, explanation of characters throughout--couldn't put it down, read all in 4hours.

Another good read from Kellerman.

Although the ending is not a surprise, the book is worthwhile reading for the characterization as well as providing a better feel for the drudgery of police detective work than provided by most other mystery writers. A good summer read.

After a couple of pages, I suddenly remembered I had read this, and remembering what a good read it was. Thanks to the new system bibliocommons,I can now keep track of what I have read.

Far from her best, but it is still fun to spend a few hours with the ensemble of characters in this enchanting series.

I had stopped reading her books for a while, once they seemed to start to focus on Decker's older daughter, who I found to be a pill. This one really is a Decker and (to a lesser extent) Lazarus book, which I appreciated. I didn't know the back story: was that contained in one of the novels I skipped? This one was generally enjoyable, with more involvement from the youngest daughter and cameos by all the (now adult) kids.

Wonderful ! The Decker and Lazarus team never disappoints.
