I actually really enjoyed this book, it was a fun quick read that was perfectly in the middle of being surprising and predictable. For a novel told in verse it was extremely easy to follow. It also dealt with more issues than coping with her mothers death.

I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this book. I picked it up with some hesitation...I'm not a big fan of novels-in-verse, and by the title I thought it was going to be depressing. Instead, I was immediately sucked in by narrator Ruby's snarky, humorous tone. I found that the verse format made the book a ridiculously fast read. I finished it in just over an hour.

i was suprised at how much i actually enjoyed this book, it was funny and made smile. the downside was it was a bit predictable, but in it's defense there were still a few parts that suprised me. Overall, i would say it was worth staying up until 3 in the morning reading it.
