It was definitely entertaining. It wasn't clear to me though where the darkness was coming from of the character who shaved and tattooed his head -- he seemed broken and there were not many clues aside from his single younger mother as to why this was so.

Surprisingly watchable, if uneven, skateboarding flick that draws on the SoCal roots of films like Point Break to tell a "true" story...The young leads do reasonably well, especially Emile Hirsch, but the main reason to keep watching is Heath Ledger's amazing performance as a mentor/Fagan character to the pioneering "Z-Boys".
