Excellent sequel to The Compound that addresses the fact that escaping the compound didn't lead to a simple "they lived happily ever after" type of ending. It explores how each of the older siblings (and their mother) copes with life post-compound which is necessarily complicated by media interest in the family. It also explores their relationships with Eddy, the sibling that didn't make it into the compound. That said, this is not strictly a 'character/relationships book'. The later portion of the book can definitely be described as a thriller though I don't want to say too much for fear of spoiling it. A well-written quick enjoyable read addressing interesting (and sometimes creepy) ideas.
