For those who have heard the name Thomas D`Arcy McGee but do not know much about the man or what he stood for, this book is an excellent remedy. Melding fact, fiction and history, the author also offers us a snapshot of Sir John A , Canada at the time of Confederation and what it must have felt like to live in Ottawa at that time. It`s an easy and enjoyable read.
