Reading 3 Queens, I found this book had a very limited character focus for Queen Margaret. Most of her thoughts are - do my sister and sister in law have more stuff than me? Bad. Less stuff? Good. Do I have nice clothes? (really, this thought gets her right out out of her sickbed after childbirth.) Not to mention Margaret's's wildly schizophrenic mood swings about her sisters - love/hate, love/hate...... It's like being trapped with a politically minded Kardashian for 500 pages. The very valid statements about the status of women back then gets lost under such tedious detail. A disappointing read.
