This film, the Oscar winner for best documentary, follows the rescue of Jewish victims of Nazi concentration camps to the eventual founding of the nation of Israel. This is an excellent historical summary from the viewpoint of the Holocaust survivors, but it does not pretend to explain the opposition of the Arabs that were being kicked out of their homes where they had lived for many generations. This film is included in the eleven DVD collection titled “The Simon Wiesenthal Collection.”
