What a great family film! Yes, it goes back to a time we are not familiar with today. Victorian manners and morals are foreign to us now. This is a look back though at just how humorous it could be to hold yourself up to such high moral standards. William Powell would go on and do still more great movies like his last film "Mr. Roberts". He had a charm about him that the camera captured. It didn't matter what role he played, you were drawn to him. When he was in the scene, you knew you were watching something special. We are so fortunate that KCLS has so many of his fine films. Another fine William Powell movie is the famous "Thin Man" movies. William Powell will be remembered as one of our finest actors. Just think his first movies came out during the 1920's. Now more than 90 years later he is still remembered as a great actor.
