Great addition to the series and sure to be enjoyed by insiders. All of the usual elements are here: Mary's South Philly family and culture, the power of girlfriends, good, solid lawyering, fun investigation and an action-packed ending. This book had just a tiny deeper element of Mary's ambivalence toward her pregnancy that I think rang true.--especially with first time parents. I also like that Mary and Anthony have selected to go forward with a less common division of family labor. I hope it works out. As for Mary's enemy, Machiavelli, we don't know what the future holds for him and his relationship with Mary but we know one thing for sure: never underestimate the power of the MOTHER.
