The story of a mother who loves her child so fiercely that she will never give up the search to find him after he is stolen as an infant. This story hit me so deeply that the first time I tried to read it, I had to put it down and go back to it later. One of Linda Howard's best, along with Sarah's Child. Much more intense than her excellent romances, which I savor because she does it all - great characters, plot, romance, intrigue, wit, and laughs! AND her stories come from a woman's/female/matriarchal perspective in all the best ways!
